People often ask me, "what's the best age to start my child in martial arts?" I usually recommend that parents start their children ages 3 to 5 years in our popular Little Ninjas Program. What makes Little Ninjas appropriate for the younger kids, you ask? Allen Park Martial Arts Center's Little Ninja Program brings education and entertainment together to teach "Edutainment!" Kids get to do all of the cool karate stuff that they see on TV and in the movies without punching and kicking each other -- and while learning self-control, discipline, respect, and manners. Little Ninjas love to learn. They learn to line up for class, bow to the instructor, perform fitness exercises, and learn to block, punch, and kick! Our instructors constantly challenge the Little Ninjas to try their best, and to always do better. We also teach them how to focus their eyes, mind, and body (and not just in our class - but at home and school too!). Ninjas learn about fitness, coordination, balance, and teamwork. At Allen Park Martial Arts Center, we teach these younger children to respect themselves and others, to be confident, athletic, and loyal. We like to say "Little Ninjas Today-- Leaders Tomorrow!"
Little Ninjas at Allen Park Martial Arts Center is for boys and girls! Every child should get the chance to learn to be confident, self-assured, and to stand up to bullies and peer pressure. Boys and girls alike learn valuable life leadership skills that will carry them forward onto any future endeavor they choose! Our Black Belt teachers and role models bring out the best in each child - with lots of encouragement in an organized, pro-social environment. At Allen Park Martial Arts Center, we have all of the latest equipment to make classes fast paced, energetic, and fun -- all in a safe and supportive environment. Believe it or not, some of our Ninjas have grown up to be Black Belt Instructors themselves! They stick with our classes because they are fun -- and it makes them feel good to be rewarded for their hard-work, progress toward their goals, and the many belts, patches, and stickers they earn for a job well done! Parents keep bringing their Little Ninjas back to Allen Park Martial Arts Center because they love the life skills we teach them. Politeness, hustle, poise, attentiveness, manners, gratitude and more. Parents also like to know that their children -- even the younger ones -- won't easily be bullied or persuaded to make bad choices by their negative peer groups!
